Sun Catchers
Sun Catchers were believed to have started by the Southwest American Indian with stained glass pieces hung in the window. Over the years they have expanded to various forms usually glass but not always. Ours are made from recycled glass bottles that have been cut into slices of glass forming rings, squares and triangles depending upon the bottle shape. The colors vary from cobalt blue, light blue, green shades and clear glass. We tumble them to smooth down the edges of the glass. Then use either gold or silver colored wire to add the prism to the piece. Each piece is unique to itself and hang from a small plastic line attached to the top of the piece. Sun Catchers hang in a sunny window and converts the sun to a rainbow of colors.
